Through classes, community collaborations and special events Martell's Landing Education Center explores cooperative learning and the history and traditions of the indigenous people of the St. Croix Valley. Other subjects include Somerset's emigrant settlers, the geology of the area, native plants, forest management, prairie restoration, medicine gardens and birding.
Traditional Native arts, music, storytelling, ceremonies, sustainable best practices, and permanent land preservation are among programs offered and practiced at the Center. Also offered are a variety of creative arts classes that include the making of journals, books and mosaics.
Wellness classes include yoga, meditation, the use of medicinal plants, holistic nutrition, and cooking with wild edibles, and wholesome local foods.
The center is perfect for women’s and cultural retreats.

Cancellations received no later than the deadlines described below will receive a refund minus a processing fee. Cancellations received after the deadlines described below will not be eligible for a refund.
Processing Fees and Deadlines:
One-day courses: $10 fee with seven (7) days notice
Overnight courses: 10% of course fee with fourteen (14) days notice
